I own new device: an "Argosy HD530 Harddisk-enclosure" with a Note-book ide disk> inside. The device works under Windows98 on the same machine, so physics should work.You need to say what kernel you were using, and what EHCI hardware.
Physics will always work -- it's the law! -- but that doesn't keep
the universe from having some software bugs that keep it from being
perfectly sensible.
