If you can't get the modem installed before Thursday, you might care to bring 
your machine along to the CLUG workshop / clinic at the Sydenham Community 
Hall.
 
Next time you post we would be able to be more helpful if you were to post 
both the make and vintage of computer and the Linux version you are using. 
Also, please note that posting using HTML is not usually considered to be 
good [n]etiquette because that format triples the amount of traffic, and for 
those of us stuck with slower modems it's a total pita.
