Hi Chris In Mandrake 8.2 the sane conf files to look at are in /etc/sane.d. Look at ./dll.conf and make sure that the lines which says 'plustek' and 'epson' are not commented out with a '#' at the beginning. BTW save dll.conf as dll.conf-backup or similar before making any alts. Then check the epson.conf and plustek.conf aand see if anything is commented out there. A quick look at epson.conf will not work as provided to me. Barry
