Python is about the only scripting language that I've used.  The Eric3
(http://www.die-offenbachs.de/detlev/eric3.html) IDE is the only one I
have used, it looks OK.
Sorry about the other link, when I looked closer I see that it doesn't
really have that much info.

BoaConstructor is the most advanced looking GUI editor I can see for
python.  http://boa-constructor.sourceforge.net/
