Ok! Now you're cooking with gas!

I've only had a quick look at the screen shots so far. At first glance that
would seem to be much closer to something I'd be interested in :)

Now what about something that competes with "Visual Interdev/ASP/SQL Server"
development?

PHP looks like a good script based development language. However the MS
suite of tools allows me to do things like trace data as it moves from the
web based form (which sits on an open IE on one screen of my multi screen
system) to the iis asp processor (using the script debugger) thru ADO (the
database abstraction layer) to the sql server dbms (using SQL trace).

This level of debugging means I can very rapidly identify exactly where
something has gone wrong in the most complex of tasks without having to code
in hooks to display debug messages at different stages (which is what I have
to do with PHP at present).

Cheers Don
