If you are concerned about your hardware coping (and your resolution
problems) and you obviously have a fresh installation, I would recommend
ditching RedHat and installing Mandrake 10.
You would get 2.6 kernel and KDE 3.2, both of which are faster than
earlier versions. Also Mandrake seems to have pretty good hardware
detection and easily changes screen resolutions with its GUI.
