Last night I got in to some late night googleing and turned up some

First I tried to just replace my xf86config with the version at the
first link above...

Problem is that this version was made for RH6.x and I'm running RH9

Rebooted and was informed that it couldn't understand my config and ran
the config program to return me to where I started...

Then I tried just copy and pasting the bits that I thought might
apply... same result as above.

Then I tried using the XF86Config-4 from the last link above...  this
time I was told there was no screens found and the reconfig thing ran
again to return be back to square 1.

My problem is that I just don't understand enough about XF86Config to
know what I'm doing to convert from the 6.x version to 9.

Below is my current XF86Config which works execpt for the zoomed 800*600
screen (as discribed by the author of the first link).
