Barry, if you have an android phone/tablet I HIGHLY recommend wifi analyzer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer I have used it a few times to choose the best channel for my AP to be on, where it doesn't get too much interference from neighbours.
