Nope, not at all. I dont see relation between an application
that is easy to install & it's enhancing the prospects of my using it.
If i knew that a particular is difficult to configure but whose
implementation will save my company agood deal of dough, i would
still go with it & install it.

Kiran u r missing the point completely out here. For once i state
clearly, as we have said previously too & i repeat again we rn't
Microsoft OS bashers out here. What we r is a ML that's a meeting
ground for a group of indivizuals to express their views on topics
related to the OPEN SOURCE movement, it may be GNU/LINUX or ny other
topic related to Open source.
Linux's crumminess shouldn't ever be a reason to hate
windows??? . Hmmm.....
No one ever said that, neither have i ever tried to imply it
in ny of may previous mails. The only point that i wanted to make is
that .........READ CAREFULLY,
" Microsoft is Well known for it's capability to make software
that s easy for the world to use, While linux was never made with
ny such aim in mind .Thats cause Linux wasn't made to fill nyones
coffers or make ny one rich but just to be PRACTICAL, but it was in
the process of the OS getting recognised that pple who have fished out
oppurtunities have become millionaries. "
.. Though things r changin in linux with
rapid pace, wat matters in linux is how well the job gets done & what
r the least kind of overheads needed, & not the flambouyant
Screensaver on the Desktop or a Fancy Wallpaper or any of the Fancy
utilities running in ya System tray trying to mointor the CPU
temperature..Though one may have them all."
BUT THE REASON WHY MICROSOFT'S OS'ES R OUTPERFORMED
IS THAT , MICROSOFT LISTENS TO THE NOVICES WHEN IT NEEDS FEEDBACK
ABOUT HOW THINGS SHOULD WORK & THEN IT IMPLEMENTS IT ; BUT LINUX CODE
MAINTAINERS ONLY IMPLEMENT THE BRILLIANT IDEAS GIVEN BY THE GURUS
IN THE RESPECTIVE FIELD.
This is an acknowledged fact.

Thats xactly the pont i was trying to put forth. But Kiran, lets
view this whole scenario in a broader perspective, What does all
this mean to to all of us??.
A WIDER CHOICE , ISN'T IT ???. MAY BE Stability for some, may
be performance for another, maybe low TCO for another, etc.
A wider choice of what u wanna
use & the capability to achieve what u wanna achieve without having to
worry of having to disregard ny of the Licensing agreements of Paid
software.
Isn't GNU/Linux all about choice??. As as to every
good idea which has a bad side too, the rapid rate of development is
one with a bad perspective too & thats what is slowly fragmenting the
community. Lets hope that which ever way the community grows, things
will be for the good of the community.

Kiran , its a beautiful way of saying MS is Bad but not all
that BAD, cause business is business & all is fair in War & love &
business???.
It's said a "RICH MAN MAKES MANY ENEMIES BUT A POOR MAN MAY
MAKE NONE."
Pple(may not be U) will always rever Microsoft for their,
According to what u said......
Discovering of innovations & hijacking them....
Kiran , as u follow the media very well u may have seen the way MS
has blatently tried to kill the competition using unmawful means.
It's only this reason that has brought it bad publicity from
millions around thw world & one of the prime reasons why i dislike
it.
Kiran :-) , :-) ,
what r u trying to prove ,just b'cause
linux can't match to the ease of use as windoZe........... ?????
This debate could go on for ever but the balance would still
tilt in the direction of LINUX. Betcha.
LINUX,
INSTALL IT, SHUT IT , FORGET IT !!!!!!!!!!!.
