Could I create a virtual web server Apache my laptop running Windows or Backtrax? I believe this is possible with Vmware worstation? The webserver I assume would not be reachable while my laptop is travelling with me.

What is the best vnc to use? Free.

Ive converted a Live running server to a VM before with vmware.
It pretty much just ssh'ed in, and did a smart tar.gz of the whole thing,
and moved the "image" to the new VM harddrive.
Worked great for a webserver and a email server.

Thanks, Trevor. This has nothing to with servers. It has to do with moving a Win 7 desktop from the physical one provided on a new laptop to virtual one I can run under linux after I convert the laptop. I need it for one Citrix program that only runs under Windows, to manage my Xen virtual servers and
hosts.
