Does anyone remember when MS pulled the same thing with linux about 9-10 years ago? They worked it thru Novell, but they threatened to sue any company that installed linux. At the time IBM stepped in and said they would handle the lawsuit if any company got sued over using linux. That opened the flood gates for companies (especially larger companies) to use linux and eventually that "patent infringement" issue got shot down my the courts.
Same story all over again. It is a standard MS practice.
