When I think of free I think of the BSD license.  The GPL is free to use, but 
not to distribute unless you give away your source, so it takes away one 
freedom some people may want to keep.

Note I didn't say whether I prefer GPL or BSD, and I've released some work 
under GPL and none under BSD.  So, no flames, please.  I'm merely pointing out 
the meaning of 'free' to me.
