Which keep closing? The twinket stores or model stores? I haven't
been back for WAY too long.

Out here in US/Canada, twinkets seems to be doing much better than
model kits.

Yeah for competitions HK definitely outperform its size. Also I am
impressed that Bandai makes a lot of Japan-only special releases also
officially available in HK and even makes HK-only special releases
year after year.

But evidently HK's loyalty is not absolute, the picky consumers
abandoned Z2.0 despite the engineering improvements mentioned by
Jason.

Well here tangible products are different from intellectual "product".
Bootlegs may hurt DVD/music a lot, but bootleg model kits/action
figures/twinkets are pretty bootleg-resistant. Actually HK is not
that different from CN in terms of bootlegs, a lot of people buy
bootleg DVD/CD and games, but not many people buy bootleg models.
Ahh... not counting GKs... of course.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen bootleg kits in HK!
Almost every single bootleg kit I've ever seen are found in New York
and Toronto...

Well... I bet the US market for Naruto or FMA is bigger than HK market
for Gundam or any other sub-genre.
