I'm just now in the process of watching Zeta for a second time (the first time was a Chinese sub years ago). I am now watching the dub, because honestly it's not bad and Sylvia is more likely to peek if it's Englsih.
Regarding Z3 movie... SPOILER ALERT! Boaz MyTurnASpace wrote: > You could care about Zeta movies; go read Gunota's spoiler for the changes. > It's worth watching and knowing in a Gundam history POV, just like when I mean it this time, SPOILERS FOLLOW! Ok... the most obvious part is happy or at least non-tragic endings for several characters. Regarding the big battles and killing fest just prior to the ending... The synopsis doesn't really sounds like the story-telling has improved from the TV series. What's really telling is that I can't make much sense of who's who in the Z3 synopsis and I remain somewhat indifferent about that. A bunch of charaters show up, half of them have a grudge against someone else and half of them have some secret agenda and/or secret backstory. They all try to kill someone and destroy some things that doesn't seem to advance their interest or agenda. I have absolutely no interest to watch it for its continuity/discontinuity to ZZ and CCA. I care that Tomino may have changed the storyline for the better. And it sounds like he made no effort to connect it to ZZ/CCA in logical way, that's just fine by me. But cutting the Dakar story arc is a disappointment to me. The Dakar arc has lots of potential. I wish Tomino had taken time to make it better and more central to the whole story of Zeta and shorten and clean up the battles at the end. But then obviously Tomino is more interested to do personal choice/vendetta instead of big astropolitical plots. > Tomino redo Quess in CCA (partly) in Gundam Evolve. I rather liked the Evolve short on Quess, helps me forget that CCA existed in the first place. Oh... can we really credit Tomino for GE's? I know his name is in the credits, but do we really know he exerted artistic influence? -- Dr. Core -------------------------------------------------- The Gundam Mailing List MK-II [email protected] Archives: http://www.gundam.com/gml Help: Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with this in the BODY: help list
