A thought just occurred to me, so please excuse me if I go off into a tangent here -

Anyway, How do countries work together on a project like space colonization without slowly turning into a "one world government" that abolishes each countries individuality?

I ask because instead of competition, why don't countries pool their resources together into one big space colonization project while each country retains their individuality?

Competition is fine as long as it stays positive, but sometimes, would it not be better to temporally put aside competition to help each other out in such a big project? I'm NOT proposing a one world government or anything of that nature, I'm just wondering.

Did I make any sense or was I just spewing gibberish? ;)

I skimmed through the English language website, and a few things caught my attention.

- 'Long March' rockets? They just can't get away from their 'glorious political history'.

 - Lunar orbit is 'Deep Space'? o.O

- Nothing wrong with having a lunar landing as #10 out of 12, imo. It's a long-term goal, and many of the others listed are things that can probably be worked on in the short term. What did catch my eye, though, was the satellite navigation system. From what's described, it's difficult to tell if it's a better way to move satellites around in orbit, or if it's intended to be a competitor with the GPS system. The latter is run by the US, and it's widely recognized that the US and China are going to be at least semi-competitive in the future as China develops. As a result, it wouldn't be surprising if the Chinese wanted to develop their own GPS system that was outside of US control.

Notice the Moon was the tenth out of twelve goals, behind such mundane
items as improving the lifespan and capacity of telecom satellites.
