So, would having the elevator connected to a satellite in geosynchronous
orbit work then? I didn't think of connecting the elevator to a
geosynchronous satellite.

After getting settled into this Moon colony[say a few years], they could build a manned deep space ship and avoid having to expend more energy for launching from Earth. Does that make any logical sense or is my brain bumfuzzled?

They'd have to ship all the materials to build the ship up from Earth, though, so that doesn't really help them unless the materials and facilities to process them are all on the moon. It'd be easier to build the thing in Earth orbit.

Wouldn't a Moon Colony be a more permanent then the Space Station? An automated supply "truck" could transport supplies to the Moon Colony. Is it possible to connect a Space elevator between the Earth and Moon or, would the Earth's rotation rip the elevator's cable loose?

No, the Earth's movement would make that difficult, I think. Better to do an elevator to a satellite in geosynchronous orbit.
