Both China and Russia are quite concerned that USA will weaponize
space in the near future. I guess CCTV9 is running propaganda against
it. The article about flag planting race also mention Bush's recent
speeches linking space and homeland security. If there is anything
good about the war of terror, it's in delaying Cold War II and Arms
Race II.
Take the latest news as example, if not for the Middle East, Russian
spy poisoning and Tony Blair's announcement of new nuclear submarine
fleet would be enough to push things to DEFCON 3.
