In the context of the First Gundam DVD Box, the sales are pretty amazing.
For comparison, the trendiest anime today is The Melancholy Of Haruhi
Suzumiya, a definite hit show with a sizeable following. But even the Haruhi
DVD's are being outsold by First Gundam. When you consider that Haruhi is
sold on an affordable per-volume basis and not pricey lump DVD Boxes and
that First is nearly 30 years old, that is unbelievable.
