Well, ok he thinks rather poorly of Gundam.  Let's take it at face
value.  Plenty of artists can't bear the sight of their own work 25
years later and think that anyone who admire their early work are
crazy or dumb. This interview tells me a little something about Yaz's
personality but not a whole lot more.

It's also quite possible for this "tirade" to be some sort of grand
challenge to young budding artists.  He's been teaching at Kobe Art
and Technical University for almost a year, it's possible he's still
stuck in time (1950-70s) of using "America is great" as a slogan to
mobilize the Japanese people to constantly aim for a highest possible
standard in every aspects of life.

I think I've by now come up with at least 4 drastically different
interpretations of his one line "it [Gundam]'s a poorly made work".  I
stand by all of them and believe I have insufficient reasons to
dismiss any one of them.
