That still doesn't make logical sense, though. The Earth Alliance has
never built mobile suits before, and now they're going to try and make
five of them? Before they even know whether or not they can build one
basic one?
Take the Space Race for instance. Did they take the time to design a
brand new spacecraft every time they went into space? Did they design
several capsules at once? No, they just kept building Mercury
capsules.
Trying to build five mobile suits at once is spreading your resources
a little thin.
