Probably.

Unless the nuts seize control in Pakistan.  Then we might see something major with India.

(and remember that both sides have nukes)

Fortunately, despite the Minister of Religion's recent comments regarding Sir Rushdie (no, I haven't read anything he's written, so I have no comment on whether or not he actually deserved the knighthood), Musharref isn't likely to do something like that.  But his intelligence service is rumored to be riddled with Islamic radicals (part of the reason that terrorists from Pakistan keep slipping into India and Kashmir).  And I've no idea what the rest of his government is like.

The last "really big" war was probably the Iran-Iraq war that ended a couple of decades ago.  Saddam Hussein thought that the change in governments across the border would provide an easy target, and found out otherwise.  The Iranians took tremendous casualties, but pushed the Iraqis back, and slowly started making headway into Iraq itself.  No one really wanted either side to win, so Iraq got international support because it was obviously losing (including supplies for chemical weapons from some Western and other nations).  On the Iranian side, school-age boys were given plastic keys that they were told would unlock the gates of Paradise, and then sent to the frontlines.

End result?

8 years later, original borders reestablished, 875,000 (according to Wiki) missing, wounded or killed.

You are not. You've just walked down the same path I have. Gundam
has no reason to exist in 21st Century anime. Unless it becomes a
parody or nostalgic indulgence, like Transformer, Power Ranger and
Keroro.
