Unfortunately it's not the same as making Gundam the most popular game
on the Wii.

If you play Wii game for a while you will understand that Wii has
acceleration (including gravity) sensing, and can detect precise
direction when pointing at the screen. But there's no positional
sensing (like the Power Groves?), so directing precise positioning is
very iffy. It's easy to convey the timing and strength of a swing
(either hammer or sabre) but direction/position is very rough
(side-swipe vs. a chop).

A major disappointment in Scad Hammer is that the motion sensing alone
aren't enough to direct the shield and hammer actions. How elegant it
would be to have the right hand swings controlling all the basic
attacks and the left hand swings controlling the blocks. But alas the
Wii hardware can't do it. So for attacks you use motion sensing to
set timing, strength and swipe vs. chop and left analog stick for
direction, for blocks you use A button (right thumb) to trigger. The
right swing is just used for charge (knock down enemy), and it's even
only used to trigger it but not to control the direction, the console
automatically choose the closest enemy to charge toward.

In terms of control scheme alone, it's not even as intuitive and
engaging as R.A.D. using plain old PS2 controller. As an overall
game, I do give Scad Hammer a slight edge over R.A.D.
