Oh I completely understand your position, Phil. And I'm sure you've had to defend your opinion many times if this topic has come up before especially with the audience that this list garners.

It was simply to offer my personal opinion. Johnny- I started one of the first Allaire Alliance Partnerships in Texas (Josh Dowdell was the first I think). That should speak for itself. I was in denial for years about .NET's capabilities over CF as I was mostly uneducated about how advanced the language actually was. I associated .NET with Front Page, Visual Interdev or other M$ products. I had clients that wanted .NET that I tried to evangelize to CF, and wound up losing them entirely. I understand how some feel about this topic and want to just say that I hope your employer never puts you in a position in which you have to migrate away from CFusion and that you can exist in a perfect little ColdFusion development bubble in which you never have to dirty your hands with an other language that may violate your purist ideals, for all eternity, Amen. Good luck!
