Voltage determines RPM and these are rated at 72 Volts so over-revving should not be a concern for you. Just don't hook up 72 volts with no load on the motor or it may over-rev and 'SPLODE. I am running the same motor on 48 volts with a 14 to 41 gear ratio. At 60 mph I spin the motor at around 3000 rpm's. damon >From: Mike <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: ElectricMotorcycles <[email protected]> >To: [email protected] >Subject: [ElectricMotorcycles] Max RPM for AC4-4002 (Tropica) motor? >Date: Tue, 15 Aug 2006 12:00:31 -0400 > > >I have an AC4-4002 6.7 Inch motor from a Tropica that I'm putting in my new >bike (see the photo album on the site for construction pix) and it's time >to choose gearing. > >Does anyone know how many RPM these can safely take at 72v? > >-- > >The Electric Motorcycle Portal >http://www.electricmotorcycles.net/ > >Electric Motorcycle Listserv >http://www.electricmotorcycles.net/listserv > -- No virus found in this incoming message.
