I have that one on my bike. The torque - speed curves they sent with the
motor go to 6000 rpm. Someone wrote once before to keep them below 5500
unless special modifications are made. Mark T.

Voltage determines RPM and these are rated at 72 Volts so over-revving
should not be a concern for you. Just don't hook up 72 volts with no load
on the motor or it may over-rev and 'SPLODE.
I am running the same motor on 48 volts with a 14 to 41 gear ratio. At 60
mph I spin the motor at around 3000 rpm's.

I have an AC4-4002 6.7 Inch motor from a Tropica that I'm putting in my
new bike (see the photo album on the site for construction pix) and it's
time to choose gearing.
Does anyone know how many RPM these can safely take at 72v?
