Well I for one have had good luck with the Perm-132, and at 22 lbs. is a good choice for a light bike (read better than Etek). Eteks are rated for 48v, Perms are rated for 72v. Yes batteries will be an issue, but as long as you are thinking 15 mile range or less something in 32ah might do. You may want to get a picture of the bike and use a scale sized battery profile to "fit" the batteries or make a set of dummy batteries the size you are thinking of buying to see how well they will fit. I am using Altrax 300 amp controller, bike goes 60 MPH, and max range about 20 miles (mixed speed 0-45). ADC or other series wound may be too big for a 250 dirt bike (size and weight). My bike is about 440lbs, my weight 190. My pack is 55ah AGM batteries. See it on evalbum, and some pics on electricmotorcycles.net.
