The two vacuum methods were the best. One was Foodsaver and the other was bags with a handheld battery-driven pump. There are also one-time use closures that you stick onto a cereal box, etc. These too tested as excellent. Ziploc and another brand were third. I think that they were third because they didn't say that they tried to expel all the air while closing. Crystals former inside these bags after being in a freezer awhile.
