GM used to deliver us 1 Ton trucks with ~3/8" belts, which lasted 1 month.
Installing a belt 1/32 to 1/16" wider increased life to 6 months.
Dual Belts are best, my 1984 Nauticat/Ford Lehman 90 dual belts lasted 21years.

Are you using a single 3/8" (3L) belt?

Changed sheeves, belts match sheeves, spoke to both Balmar and Volvo, no
help there.

Tried belt dressing, have backed off amp output down to 75 amps, still
getting dust.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,
