When the code we author is download 1,000 times a day, it makes us -- not
only programmers, but -- useful and relevant programmers.

I see a lot of people/organizations code with much larger teams for many
less people and the quality is much poorer, so in my opinion, there's
really no question as to the title "programmer" with certain individuals on
this team :). Furthermore, our choice to choose what interests us --
versus what benefits the project -- is a balancing act, and luckily in this
landscape, we're free to choose what we work on and there are often mutual
benefits in taking either direction.

However, when we talk about the bigger picture... moving forward...
identifying that need requires at least the fundamental understanding of
high level design changes, and there only are few people on this earth that
truly understand the implications of a design change to LMMS. There are
even fewer that are active on the dev team that understand that change.
Black magic to one person may be an unfathomable mythical beast to the next.

it'd be cool if I could just focus on one thing and become great in that

We've had some serious focuses in recent history... namely the new theme,
new versioning, new repo, new logo, new site. I don't think it is fair to
sell ourselves short of this task. The only problem I see (which everyone
seems to think is not a problem) is money. So, let's farm that one task
off. We can and will do the rest. We've already tackled much larger
projects.

Jonathan... you're one of the ones that said too much money isn't a
problem.... Will you please take over as our money recipient for this
project? The only other duty would be designated payer to our developer.
We can and will do the rest
