Hi there, it’s Peter back with your Letter today. It's good news for our
region's economy as we report that Corus in Scunthorpe have just won a major
contract from the MOD to supply the steel for new Royal Navy warships. We’ll be
in the town today to see what it’ll mean for the thousands of workers at the
site.

And they're back home from their tour of duty - as hundreds of troops are due
to fly into RAF Waddington today, we'll be there to see their families welcome
them back home.

Tonight on the programme, we’ll be speaking with the Mablethorpe man, who
claims he was let down by Lincolnshire Police after the death of his son. We’ll
have his story tonight for you.

And they're Wembley bound! We'll take a look back at how Grimsby Town beat off
Morecombe in the final of the Johnstone Paint Trophy in their biggest match in
ten years.

Plus Look North will have a preview behind the scenes of a former cold war
nuclear bunker as they prepare to open for the Easter tourism season. That’s
all tonight on BBC One at half past six. I hope you can join me then.

Dirty Laundry

Talk about airing your dirty laundry in public! A woman scorned certainly is a
force to be reckoned with. A Canadian TV pundit and the co-founder of an online
encyclopaedia have very publicly aired their relationship break-up over the
Internet. The TV pundit logged on to her computer to discover that she had been
dumped over the Internet by her now ex-boyfriend posting a note on her public
profile to that effect. And in response, the TV pundit very quickly started
selling his clothes on an Internet auction site. His T-shirt, complete with
stubborn stains, had reached more than £150, while bids on his jumper were
soaring past £200! That’s not bad is it!

Alternative To A Burglar Alarm?

Talk about a woman scorned – how about this one! A Nottinghamshire man has just
got a bit too fed up with arsonists attacking his business site, that he’s gone
to rather unorthodox measures to protect its perimeter. The usual security
fencing, motion-sensor lights and CCTV cameras have failed to deter these
persistent arsonists, so this business owner has reverted to some ‘technology’
left over from his previous career as a travelling showman. Not many of us
would have a thirty foot catapult to hand would they or a cannon, which once
was used to fire his wife across the River Avon! But these are now being used
to protect his premises with the catapult being loaded with chicken poo from a
nearby farm! Well, that’s one way to deter vandals!

That’s it from me. Take care and enjoy your day today.
