Hello and welcome to todays Levy Letter. I hope youre having a good week, and I hope youve been keeping up with Look North despite some of the changes in time weve had lately, its all due to the football of course. Well dont worry, weve gotten back to normal and I hope you can join me for tonights Look North at the usual time of half past six on BBC One.
On tonights programme well have all the days news and stories as always. And as usual well have the full detailed weather forecast. Lets hope the temperature continues to stay nice and warm, and hopefully well get some clear and dry skies to enjoy as well. Rooney Now I dont know if youre a football fan, or if you know much about Wayne Rooney, but it seems you cant escape him at the moment. His celebrity wedding has been all over the news, and a very luxurious event it was too from the sound of it, especially for a couple of 22 year olds! They tied the knot in a 17th century Italian palace, with an army of bodyguards patrolling the area, and the reception is expected to finish in a giant fireworks display at a nearby abbey. The wedding costs might have been helped by the rumoured £2.5 million coverage deal with a celebrity magazine. Despite that, the wealthy couple might still be out of pocket as the total cost of the wedding is reported to be around £5 million! Thats extraordinary. It must have been a dream come true for ones so young, but then thats the lifestyle a career in football can buy you these days. I dont think I could begin to plan an event to blow £5 million in one day! Pig This is a quite extraordinary story that you might have seen in the news, and it bears repeating here because its one of those things that seems too bizarre to be true. A six year old pig from Yorkshire has been given her own Wellington boots after she seemed to display a phobia of mud! The owners 12 year old daughter suggested trying a pair of tiny rubber boots that were on a key ring, and apparently Cinders, as the pig is known, has been much happier. Cinders wont now face slaughter as shes been picked as the farms mascot. Thats lucky as she lives on a sausage farm, so some good has come from her phobia. Its a very strange story, and there are pictures of the pig in her wellies as well, in case we wouldnt believe it, which to be honest would be an understandable reaction Apprentice Dont worry, Im not going to give away the winner if you havent had time to watch it and youre planning to catch up on your recorder or on the BBC iPlayer. To be honest, youll have a job avoiding the result all day, but all Ill say is well done to the winning apprentice. Theyve all worked really hard from the looks of things, and all the finalists have done well to get through one of the hardest interview procedures you can imagine. The winner seems to be a popular choice among many people, and of course now that the series is over we can all get back to our normal lives. I think there will be a lot of Apprentice devotees wondering what theyre going to do with their spare time now, until next time. Well thats it from me for today. I hope you enjoy the rest of your afternoon, and I hope youll join me tonight at half past six on BBC One. If you have anything you think we should know about then you know what to do, send it along to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] If youve got any unusual pictures for us to show on the programme, or anything to say about the programme then send it along to me as well and Ill get that direct.
