Hello there and welcome to the final edition of this week’s Levy Letter. I hope
it finds you well. Wasn’t it chilly this morning? I’ve heard we are set for a
big chill this weekend and that winter will well and truly settle in. I’m sure
Paul will have the all important information for us tonight.

I’ve now been doing my radio show for 2 weeks and I’ve been really enjoying it.
On Monday I will be speaking to Russell Watson, so please join me for my third
week on the air and tune in! You can listen to BBC Radio Humberside on 95.9FM,
1485 AM and DAB. If you’re not in the area, don’t worry, you wont miss out as
you can listen live on bbc.co.uk/humberside

Strictly Crazy

Well what do you think to this? John Sergeant announced his departure from
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on Wednesday and now there seems to be a national
outcry. It was only last week that ‘The X Factor’ and Laura White were being
discussed in parliament and now Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy has called for
the judges of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ to be sacked. During BBC’s Question Time
the Scottish Secretary said that he watched the programme with his family and
it was "family entertainment and good fun and John is emblematic of that,
rather than taking himself so seriously". "I think we need to get rid of the
judges rather than John." Well there you go. It seems our political leaders
also have their opinions on the subject. What do you think to John Sergeants
departure? Is it worth all the hype? Or do you think that the TV show should be
about dancing? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this one. Feel free to contact
me on this or any other matter on [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Madonna and Guy

It’s official. One of showbiz’ most famous couples are divorced. Madonna and
Guy Ritchie have been granted a divorce at the High Court in London. A sworn
statement released by the court showed that Madonna petitioned for divorce on
the grounds of Ritchie’s unreasonable behaviour. The statement also mentioned
that the couple had not been living together at the same address for the past
six months. The couple will share custody of their two boys, Rocco and adopted
David Banda. However Madonna’s daughter from an earlier relationship, Lourdes,
will stay with her.

Weekend Telly

It’s that time of week again where I look ahead to the highlights of things to
come on the box this weekend. If you didn’t get a chance to see it last time
around, BBC One is showing the second series of ‘Gavin and Stacey’ starting
tonight at 9.30pm. Saturday night is dominated by the reality shows ‘The X
Factor’ and ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’ John Sargeant will be performing a special
waltz for his farewell dance with Kristina. The other remaining contestants
still have to face the music. Tom and Camilla will perform the Tango, Christine
and Matthew will Cha Cha Cha along with Austin and Erin, Lisa and Brendan will
be dancing the Quickstep, Rachel and Vincent will be attempting the Foxtrot,
while Jodie and Ian will perform the Jive. With only 6 couples left the
competition will be really hotting up!
On ‘The X Factor’ this week, the remaining contestants will be performing Take
That songs. The final 6 have had master classes with Take That this week so I’m
looking forward to seeing how those went down. Last year’s runner up, Rhydian,
will also be performing. On Sunday a new drama starts on BBC One at 9pm.
‘Survivors’ is set in the present day and focuses on the world in the aftermath
of a devastating virus which wipes out most of the world’s population. It stars
Max Beesley who you may remember from ‘Bodies’ and ‘Hotel Babylon’ and former
Doctor Who sidekick Freema Agyeman. From the trailers it looks good so I think
I may be settling into that one on Sunday night!

That’s all for the rather entertainment filled Levy Letter for today. Enjoy
your weekend.

Bye for now,

Peter
