this kind of "dialog" makes me sad. :-(

In august the LPI wrote that it "has delivered ... 35,000+
certifications"

Publishing how many of this certs are LPIC-1 and how many are LPIC-2
would
prove what the majority does.

(BTW: The period does not start again with each passed exam. It start
again with each reached certification. But that is not the point.)
