We've been sucessfully using LPRng in our University system for quite some
time now. We have a very heterogenous environment of platforms, all
printing through our Solaris-based server, which has recently been upgraded
to LPRng 3.8.4. In light of a couple strange problems that we have with it,
everything works. We have people printing from other Solaris machines
remotely, Windows 98, NT 4, 2000, XP, MacOS 8, 9, and OSX, some Silicon
Graphics IRIX machines and a selection of Linux and FreeBSD boxes.
