campusers are striking for no reason. if the university find it
expensive to prepare and mark supplementaries, then they ought to
increase the fees.
I think not living in uganda for a while has made you insensitive
to the realities on the ground. I would say that on average about
60% of people on campus carry about 2 papers each semester. At the
new rate, a large number of them will end up paying more for the
extra papers than they pay even for tuition.
looking at this the other way, this move will force students to take
their academics more seriously and avoid carrying over papers.
An increase from 6000/= to 180,000/= is beyond the pale. if you're
a parent with 3 children on campus and two of them carry like 2
papers each.....you can imagine what happens...
i agree, but there must be a reason the university did this. have they
released some sort of statement?
