Yes, don't underestimate this.

Even when there is free wi-fi around a building or city, 
never expect it to be of reasonable quality for a long 
period of time.

Finding a Starbucks or some such is probably the best ting 
you can do.

You'd be surprised to find out just how rife "not free" wi-
fi is in "developed" countries, especially the ones you'd 
expect to have free access everywhere.

In some places you're lucky. In others you aren't. I've just 
learned never to assume good, free (or cheap) wi-fi is 
synonymous with "developed" countries :-). But that's just 
me.
