    Yes, and on Hoppy's "Vieux Gaultier" CD, you can
hear breathing, buzzes, "cracked" notes, and even a
storm outside.  I think there's a recording by Diego
Cantalupi where you can hear birds singing in the
background.  (I don't even think the piece was by
Respighi ;-))
