    No, that is not valid approach, this should be a single option, any
other way will be overcomplicated in both usage and implementation.

    The common guidelines for human interface require we should avoid any
submenus, especially such synthetic ones. :)

    I can assure you, libfm/pcmanfm in git isn't worse than in any of the
Lubuntu releases, it even has few more bugfixes. So you can update just a
pcmanfm and dependent packages, leaving other untouched. But as you wish
of course. :)
