Would this work? I thought they just follow debian behaviour here, and debian's POV is that 2.4.1, 2.4.2, etc are too drastic changes -- one should include only patches for particular bugs. (And to be honest, we don't do just bugfixig but also 'improvements' in branch, so they have a point). In any case, we lost Liviu long time ago, he used to prepare PPAs for ubuntu. Not really, we just need to push debian to accept RC2, ubuntu will accept whatever is found in debian testing. Just sent an email to trigger the avalanche.
