That is currently in the User Guide Appendix A. One way to address your suggestion would be to add a pointer to this in the Introduction or to mention it in the splashscreen that shows when you open LyX for the first time. One of the problems that I see, having been using LyX for nearly 13 years, is that the current manuals are quite substantial and keep growing as Lyx has developed. The solution adopted some years ago was to start the LyX Wiki as a sort of Encyclopedia contributed by users but the entries vary in their usefulness not least because some were written to address issues which have now been addressed through developments in LyX. As ever there is also the problem of the number of contributors able to give time to this. However, thanks for the suggestions - they keep people on their toes! John --
