There were some problems with the LyX installer for Windows. Please reinstall it by 1. uninstalling LyX _completely_ 2. uninstalling MiKTeX _completely_ 3. reinstalling LyXuning this installer: http://sourceforge.net/projects/lyxwininstaller/files/LyXWinInstaller/2.0.5.1/LyX-2051-Bundle-4.exe/download
