I doubt this will happen often enough to judge such a general
disambiguation, since
1. OT papers typically do not contain tables
2. OT papers are normally written in English, anyway.
And if such a case really occurs, users can change the name of one of the lists
easily. But then, this should be done in this exceptional case. The exception
should not be made the rule, here.
OK, but I think that just changing my
"Liste des tableaux (OT)"
(which I did't like very much)
to
"Liste des tableaux phonologiques"
does not look ridiculous in the ToC
(that's where it will appear, right ?)
and leaving "Tableau" for the caption title as I did previously as the context
is clear is better.
It may happen that a French linguist using LyX for a document in French has also
regular tables and will be glad to have a good-looking ToC.
