If you compare Okito (which they bought out) and Nisus Express you will see there is not much has been added in the considerable time they have apparently been working on it.
I don't believe there is much to add to powerful word processors myself. Its question of the interface and sleekness.
Try Mellel, half the price and much better.
I'll look for Okito to compare. I've just downloaded Mellel and will try it. BUt they do not translate .doc files I believe.

BTW: My favourite writing tool by the way is NotepadPro...very little formatting at all!
