AFAIK it is used in gantrykins at least, to conduct 'real-jogs' where more than one motor/joint is involved in the movement of an axis

If you jog a gantry in joint mode, it is liable to rack because joint mode will only move one joint and not the actual axis.

Can anyone explain how Teleop mode is meant to be used? Is it used just
for jogging?

Hi

I have no idea if there is a specific menu item for switching to world
mode in Cetus, like there is in Axis

However - 'Use the Search Luke'

http://www.machinekit.io/search-result.html?cx=013132401186084955638%3Ahpvljajpulu&cof=FORID%3A11&s=teleop+mode

bottom search hit

http://www.machinekit.io/docs/man/man1/halui.1/

from that doc
halui.mode.teleop - bit in pin - for requesting coordinated jog mode

So halcmd setp halui.mode.teleop 1
will set teleop mode

Ensure that your .ini file has the stanza HALUI = halui and you can
use it

One of the easiest ways might be to put it into a user M code

but there are umpteen ways to skin that cat

Does someone know if this is available in Cetus? Or what interface
are you using for printing with a kossel.
By the way is here anyone in this group who using machinekit for a
     Kossel to print real stuff?
After quite a few weeks I am really disappointed about the bad
support for Kossel. Now I am getting almost anything to work with
the new stuff Alex made - that's really cool.
The last thing is the switch to telop after homed but I do not
     know where to start here.
Many thanks... for the help --
