So, The printer is electromechanically complete, it is time for Machinekit on Beaglebone Black with CRAMPS to be configured. I loaded up the SD card image from the Machinekit link to the Debian auto packager as mentioned above
Opened up Machinekit with the default ArmCramps demo files, and all was fine. It came right up displaying the bed and extruder temperatures. I browsed to the XY and Z min endstops, and they were all true, and changed to false when I pressed the limit switch and interupted the endstop. Great!, now I just need to convert from Trivkins to Lineardeltakins, and configure the HAL and INI files. I copied the example CRAMPS.lineardelta.hal and CRAMPS.lineardelta.ini from the Brandon Heller posts on this subject. His was set up for a Rostock Mini, but I thought that would be close, and I'd have to tweak the dimensions and stepper settings, but otherwise should be relatively simple. Well, I guess I did something wrong, Not working. I'm done for the evening, and will give it a go again tomorrow. Does anyone have a recent set of Cramps.ini and .hal configuration files for lineardelta delta printers they would recommend? Do I only need the .ini and .hal files, or are there accompanying files needed also? Thanks in advance.
