I've got an issue I've never seen before. I have an external USB/FW drive that originally had 3 partitions on it, all of which correctly mounted on the desktop. I used Drive Genius to resize partition 3 down by 20 GB and then created partition 4 in the save space.
Once this was complete . . .only partitions 1, 3, and 4 are visible in Finder. All 4 are visible in Disk Utility and Drive Genius and I can successfully open partition 2 by using Go to Folder and putting in /volumes/partition2. At that point . . .partition 2 shows in Finder but with a grayed out icon. I've repaired the partition (no errors) and rebooted a couple of times to see what might be the issue. The drive itself is formatted GUID, all 4 partitions are Mac OS X Extended and 3 of the 4 have journaling enabled (including the one that is invisible). I've checked the volume name for a leading period . . .at this point I'm running out of ideas. Anything I'm missing before I just try erasing the partition? Thanks. ----------------------------------------------- There are only three kinds of stress; your basic nuclear stress, cooking stress, and A$$hole stress.
