No, just erase the bad volume, not the entire disk. That should re- initialize the file system in that partition.

I don't have a current copy of DW . . .the last copy i have is 3 or so years old . . .but Disk Utility, Drive Genius and TechTool Pro 5 are all happy.

The only thing that appears amiss is that it doesn't show up in Finder windows until I use the Go to Folder option and then it shows up as grayed out instead of normally.
