What happened most likely is that somehow one of those utilities of
yours ended up marking the partition itself invisible. It can be
desirable in some cases, for example pc manufacturers typically make
the recovery partition invisible to keep customers from messing with
it unintentionally. But it can definitely be a nuisance when a
partition is set invisible undesirably, the only way I know of
removing that setting is by using the not do friendly Terminal utility
fdisk. Good luck!
