Can I know why technically ? Do you have pointers ?

Ok, Apple modem aside, there are a number of USB modems on the market that seem 
to work with Mountain Lion.
(A discussion on Apple support lists also mentions an Apple support guy who 
suggests that Apple may update the driver to 64 bits).

Charles, software doesn't "die".

After reading a bit about it, it looks like the driver does not work because 
Mountain Lion only accepts 64 bits code and the driver is a 32 bits program.
