okay. Now, I feel incredibly humiliated, not to mention utterly embarrassed!
the very email thread that may have answered this question, I deleted thinking was completely irrelevant to me at the current time. I am currently using the Standard view of mail. I am 100% certain that I am not set to the classic view. I know exactly how to switch it however if I need to. I furthermore have disabled the option to Group related messages. usually, I do not interact with the message list table. I simply VO right Aero over to it, and then just use my up and down arrow keys to move through the list of messages. If I want to read an email, I didn't press VO J to jump to the message body and begin reading. excuse me. Siri totally messed that last sentence up. I was trying to say I then press VO J to jump to the body of the message and begin reading. got a love dictating on an iPhone! LOL! frankly, I'm lazy, and do not feel like going back and editing. Sorry. Anyway… I have conversation thread view enabled. whenever I see a thread that has multiple conversations with in it, say, two conversations, or more, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to expand the conversations. I have tried hitting just the right arrow key, VO right Aravind, pressing VO\, and more, to absolutely no avail. I haven't even gone so far as to press VO space on the email thinking that that would expand, however that also did absolutely no good. what is the best method for doing this. I love my conversation thread view! I used it on a very regular basis and lion. I never thought that I would see the day I would like using mail that way, but I actually swear by it! if there is a conversation thread that I do not wish to read, I can simply hit the delete key on the topmost node of the thread, and just like that: Bam! The whole thread is now gone. absolutely brilliant! As of now, I have disabled thread view until I can get a more concrete answer on the best method for doing this. I hope that this feature has not been broken in Mountain lion from a voiceover perspective. That would royally suck, if so. again I am quite positive that this question has already been answered/addressed, however I was a stupid idiot and deleted the thread without first thinking that later it might be relevant to me. I feel like a total fool. anyway, thank you for your help. I promise I will try to be more careful with my email in the future going forward. Chris.
